Report Outlines Top 10 Sports Stars with the Highest-off Field Earnings

A brand new report from OLBG is showing the Top 10 sports stars with the highest off-field earnings of the last year, showing which athletes are raking in the big bucks with endorsements, business ventures, and even verticals focused on sports influencers.

Additionally, the report showed the following:
  • Former NFL quarterback Tom Brady, who retired in 2023, has been crowned the NFL athlete making the most money off-field, with the quarterback earning $52m off-field, compared to $31.9m on-field.
  • The NBA star with the highest off-field earnings is Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James at $80m. This total is $30m more than Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant’s off-field earnings of $50m who took second place.
  • With earnings of $55m from business ventures, soccer/futbol players Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have been named the soccer/futbol players making the most money off-field. This is more than double soccer/futbol superstar Neymar’s off-field earnings, at $25m, who took third place.
  • Racers Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen are the only Formula 1 drivers to feature in the top 50 sports stars with the highest off-track earnings. Hamilton took 30th place, with earnings of $8m, with Verstappen’s earnings of $2m good enough for 43rd.
  • LIV golfer Phil Mickelson has been named golf’s highest off-field earner, with the LIV Golf star making $42m from business ventures. This total is also the 11th highest off-field earnings of any athlete.
